On May 18, 2011, at 15:00 Melbourne time, I leave Australia.
There is no chance I am leaving for good, I love it here to much. But, unfortunately our friends at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship have made up a mountain of restrictive rules that have to be obeyed. For that reason and that reason alone, I am leaving Australia for a while.
The past year I've spent in Australia has been an amazing year. From the wild road trips that seem to magnify the gusto in my driving (and frighten the hell out of everyone), the torrential rain and Aussie style Christmas in Byron Bay, being window licking hung-over on New Year's Day in the middle-of-nowhere, the epic sunshine and endless beaches under the West Australian sky, the amazing people that I've met and especially those lazy Sundays in the Greenhouse, I regret nothing.
For any of these reasons, if not a thousand more, I feel it's only a matter of time before I'll return to Australia.
The Just Like Ed Adventures are far from over. There are in fact several more episodes coming, covering more Australia stuff. And of course the adventure will go with me, where ever I go. My departure from Australia is but the end of the first season.
The adventure continues in 2011 with season two, covering my adventures in the Netherlands.
